Commonly asked questions…

  • I do not offer makeup. However, I recommend Callie Kay Artistry to ALL of my brides for makeup. We both serve brides that want to look like the most beautiful but natural version of themselves and we work REALLY well together. www.callekayartistry.com

  • The short answer…YES! I use products that keep your hair in place. However, you will never have the look like you are heavily hair-sprayed. If your hair doesn’t hold curl all that well, its highly suggested you choose a style that is all up or a down style that is all gathered (such as a bubble braid). Not sure what that is? I’m happy to send a few photos of what styles would look best for this type of hair.

  • My schedule at the studio can get booked out a bit so please plan this in advance. I do not offer evening or weekend appointments so please plan accordingly.

The time between your trial and your wedding date doesn’t matter as long as you don’t think you will change your mind on your style if too much time has passed. You will receive a link to book your trial once you’ve secured your date with me.

  • This is one thing with venues that I wish I could change. Many of them won’t let you start until late morning. Often times, we need to start with hair and makeup early morning. In these situations, there are a couple of options.

    1. Many brides stay at an airbnb or hotel near the venue. This allows for enough space to do hair and makeup. I suggest finishing everybody here and then you can head to the venue in enough time to do photos with your girls putting on their dresses, putting on your veil, etc. This is the option I recommend the most. It seems to work out the best for everyone.

    2. Sometimes venues will allow you to purchase additional time in the morning to start earlier, but in my experience, it’s not usually enough time or just really expensive.

    3. You can chose to start at one location and move to another. However, this comes with an additional fee for me to be able to pack up, travel and unpack at a new location and can be chaotic for everyone. This is one I do not recommend but can be done.
